Gearing and leverage: webinar

This short webinar focuses on gearing and leverage and aims to develop an understanding on: capital structure, the need to measure debt, gearing and leverage.

The webinar starts with the background notion of capital structure. It looks at the typical way in which a company will finance itself, through a mixture of equity and debt. It then examines how to determine how much debt a company should have, how to measure the level of debt and the difference between debt and net debt, to finally move on to analysing and explaining the gearing and leverage ratio.
